The project addresses the field of ethics and values education and focuses on empowering Early Childhood Care and Education (ECEC) and primary school Professionals. Thus, project AVAL encourages children to learn about values from a critical thinking approach based on 3 pillars: ethic values (personal values – one “self”); democratic and societal values (as we live in a society – one “self and the others”; and environmental values (as we live on the planet Earth).

  • Implement a transnational curriculum for the partners’ countries

  • Develop open educational resources

  • Create innovative practices and approaches in preschool and primary school education

  • Create an online centre on ethics, values and critical thinking education

Main activities:

  • Current state analysis on values education for preschool and primary school teachers

  • Development of learning materials

  • Design and development of technological infrastructure and online environment

  • Guidelines to implement values education in preschool and primary education

  • Teachers and other educators

  • Students of faculties of teacher education

  • Schools, kindergartens and other educational institutions (museums, libraries…)

  • Experts in education

  • Policy makers and decision makers at EU and national levels

Total value of the project:

  • 252.243,00 € (funded by the Erasmus+ K2, Spain Agency for mobility)
